Look for 2+ inches of rain on the Sardis Lake and Clayton Rain Gauges available on the Corps of Engineers Webpage.

Visually check the Hwy bridge. Water should be at or above the knot on the fence post on the river right upstream bridge abutment.

Watershed is about 6 square miles, so you need to get on the creek within 12 hours of the rainfall.
