Site look funky?  Your browser is so old standards-based layouts and styling confuse it.  Consider updating.  One excellent option is Mozilla Firefox, versions of which are available for Linux, Mac and Windows.

This map layer shows all of the put-in locations for all of the map layers in American Whitewater’s National River Database. If a reach is linked to an online gage, it’s put-in location is color coded by whether or not it is currently running - in just the same way that the reaches are color coded on each state summary page.

There are two ways to view this map layer in Google Earth:

  • click the KML icon at the bottom of the National River Database page, as shown below. When you zoom into a location in Google Earth, the put-in points will appear. Ryan - how exactly does the 750 limit work?
  • click the KML icon at the bottom of a state’s summary page that is accessed through the National River Database page
