FORT MORGAN, Colo. (AP) — the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says a woman who was tubing on the South Platte River near Fort Morgan died after deciding to ride over a low head dam on Friday. Two other women riding with her got of the water out at the dam and saw her floating unresponsive after she re-emerged in the water. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. -- A woman died after a tubing accident on the South Platte River on Saturday afternoon. According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, a female and male were tubing down the South Platte just after 2 p.m. near mile marker 8 near the Colorado Trail when both lost control of their inner tubes and fell out into the river.
Both victims were pulled from the river. The woman died, but the man survived with minor injuries, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Tuesday afternoon, the woman was identified by the Douglas County Coroner's Office as 60-year-old Rose Mary Morgan. The identity of the man has not been released.
