Subject: possible accident on the West Branch of the Deerfield
This past August, I went creeking on the West Branch of the Deerfield River after an unusual amount of rainfall. During that time, I heard (via word of mouth) that an open canoeist had died several weeks before (early July?) of a foot entrapment while running the Class V+ rapid named Tunnel Vision. This is all I am aware of regarding this incident, but I hope it helps you.
