NPFF Coordinator Todd Garland March Volunteer of the Month
The 2007 National Paddling Film Festival in Lexington, Kentucky was full of good videos, good friends, good food, and great volunteers. Leading the charge for such a great weekend of activities was Todd Garland who is American Whitewater’s March volunteer of the month.
The National Paddling Film Festival is organized each year by a dedicated crew from the Bluegrass Wildwater Association to raise funds for river access and conservation. In 2006 longtime coordinator of the National Paddling Film Festival Dave Margavage announced that after six years at the helm he was stepping down. Planning and running the National paddling Film Festival is no small tasks and Todd Garland stepped up to fill Dave’s shoes in exceptional style.
This year the film festival pledged $2,500 to American Whitewater’s work and also donated $1,000 to the Green River Access fund. American Whitewater would like to thank Todd Garland, his team of volunteers, and the entire Bluegrass Wildwater Association for their dedication to river access and conservation.
