Top Ten River Stewardship Issues 2022

At the end of every year, American Whitewater's staff reflects on the work we've done and then looks ahead to which issues we'll be going hard on in the following year. We then come together as a group and discuss our priorities and where we see the best chance for reaching milestones and successfully completing projects. This process results in our annual list of our Top Ten River Stewardship Issues (hint: to view as spreads, click the 3-dot menu in upper right corner and select "two-page view"). Please take a moment to look through these if you haven't already had a chance to in our Winter Journal issue, and reflect on which parts of work interest you and where your personal advocacy may be able to play an important role in furthering our success.

For such a small organization, we seem to find ourselves in the middle of so many important projects that it can be a challenge to narrow it down to just ten – so know that this isn't all of work in 2022, but that it does represent some of our biggest investments in staff time and resources, and the issues where we'll need your voice the most in the coming year.
